Enhance a datagrid so that the it scrolls in a div but the header row stays visible the whole time. It's been hard to do this for many browsers well.

Alpha select List Box
I'd like to suggest a drop-down list that works like a standard Windows drop-down list in that it keeps filtering by what you type. In other words, if you type "ch" it goes to the first series with "ch" and not the c's and then the h's when you type the "h".

WhoIsOnline
A WhoIsOnline componant that is similar to what is used on the ASP.Net Forum. That web control is too wraped up in other portions of the site to be useful in other applications. A nice toolbox componant for tracking who is online would be great

Colaps.. Menu
Hi there,
I just noticed two things that i would love to be added to the collapsable menu.
1. When the content is visible it should auto align with the end of the title, right now it auto aligns with the begining of the collapable text or image if you using one. 2. the other thing is when you in design view with VS.NET you should be able to see the title if you have added one currently you can only see the content and not the title. I downloaded the component install today.
Thank you and i would love to hear your comments on these two ideas!

dependent dropdown listboxes
The parent child idea is good.
I am setting up a databound control for scope determination at time of input with dependent dropdown lists. For example geographic locator. ddlParent.SelectedItem = "global" - no child ddl visible nor enabled.
ddlParent.SelectedItem = "regional" = ddlChildRegional control becomes visible and enabled
ddlParent.Selected item = "local city" - ddlChildRegional and ddlGrandChildCities become visible and enabled for further input.
Additional dependence could make the ddlGrandChildCities only contain the ones limited to ddChildRegion.SelectedItem
Keep up the good work

Read Only checkbox
Bet this already exists, but I can't find it: you set the value of the checkbox programmatically; it's used for display of boolean type values and users can't change the value then print out the page. A read-only checkboxlist would be even better!!

parent child selection controls
Matt,
1. The email component of the forum must not be working because I cannot get the password neither at sign up nor via the forgot password form.
2. I am fairly new to programming and my only experience is .net. I am designing a bunch of forms for user profiles. Compliance by the user is critical. So the forms must be very user friendly. When we try to gather info we want to take in as many specifics as we can without intimidating the user with the sophistication of the forms. Also for data integrity I like to use preset input controls whenever possible. e.g. dropdown of States as opposed to a 2 character textbox). Your LabelButton calendar is great in that respect - no textbox!
So I find constantly the need asp.net/ DHTML parent-child controls where the parent is a selection style control (checkbox, radio button, dropdown list) and once selected the child control(s) become visible. They are also selection items for addotional details pertaining to the category selected in the parent. The physical placement of the additional selection controls can be to the side or in an additional expansion row underneath. There would be lots of demand for either.
Imagine a dance instructor skills form for possible 20 dances. He may be familiar with only a couple (country and swing) and to a different extent. For country he teaches beginners and for swing he teaches intermediates (options of a dropdown list). Yet another detail could be whether he has opposite gender skills (a lady being able to dance and teach as the guy - a valued and not universal teaching skill) Say another option (group vs privates lessons ) So now we have three aditional pieces of info for each parent selection. We could tabulate with the sometimes wonderful editable custom datagrid and show 80 conrols on one page, not counting the menus etc. I don't know about you but this page loads and I am the first to bolt for the door. Non-IT people do have a life...
Still some logic would be needed to prevent from selecting expert in tango when the tango category is not even selected - Still a client behavior.
Another way to handle it is offer the detail in an additional form that posts back the selected items and the additional controls visible but that is an extra trip to the server and we are asking the user to go over what he just thought he finished putting in.
So there comes the need for some client side behavior but still asp.net server controls, the combination of which intimidates the hell out of me. This fellow has the right idea but this is only client side and only buttons. http://altinoren.com/demo/ShowHideButton.aspx The 20 dance categries could have been grouped into 4 main ones. Whole toolbars can be the child controls thus unleashing a plethora of elegantly diguised, otherwise clunky tabulation. There are many dual listboxes that center functionality on transfering the data from parent to child. The focus of this is to HIDE the functionality when not needed. I think the dotnet community is screaming for this and it would be hit. I will be your first customer.

FAQ-Repeater
Just what the doctor was looking for! :-)
Depending on whether a user or admin is logged on I would like to be able to add an image to allow an editing link for the specific question. Can the control be modified to add a table to allow formatting?
It's great to see someone is on the Ball!!!

Dynamic Tabstrip
I have seen this kind of controls made of DHTML for ASP.30 before, it is a simple tabstrip that contains layers of control within, te important part is that it does not make any postbacks when clicking the tabs... I think that there are similar controls around, but of what i've heard they are poorly customizable, I for one haven't seen anyone yet for ASP.NET.
(sorry for the poor english...)
BTW, Awesome controls!
